Cow Farts, Methane and Meat
by John Gideon Hartnett | Bible Science Forum
Public panic has erupted over the inclusion of a food additive to cow feed. The offensive substance is a toxic chemical labelled 3-nitrooxypropanol (3-NOP), marketed under the brand name Bovaer.
3-NOP reduces enteric methane emissions in dairy cattle by approximately 30%. That is to to lower their methane output and save the planet from the insane Climate Cult claim that cow farts are causing catastrophic global warming leading to the oceans boiling and all life on earth dying.
They say we must stop agriculture (read: growing food) to the save the planet!
In Australia the 3-NOP product is marketed by the company Rumin8, which states on its website:
We are on a mission to decarbonise 100 million cattle by 2030.
That is 0.4% of all anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions; 200 million metric tonnes of emissions reduction a year; and 40% of Australia’s total annual carbon emissions.
To do better than 30% from the cow farts they will need to kill the cows.
To totally decarbonise 100 million cattle by 2030 they need to get at least 333 million cattle onto this brew because the cattle would still be emitting 70% of their methane. They will need to eliminate the cattle to achieve their goal.
There were 24.4 million cattle (dairy and beef) in Australia in 2021. The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) predicted that the cattle herd in 2023 would grow to its highest level since 2014, reaching 28.8 million head. But that is less than 10% of the total number needed to be decarbonised.
Now look at Australia’s fraction of methane emissions from cows. Methane from livestock is the largest source of alleged greenhouse gas emissions in the agriculture sector in Australia, making up around 10% of the country’s total annual emissions. Within this, cattle farming is responsible for the majority of methane emissions, with 65% of Australia’s methane coming from methane burped up by cattle as they digest their food.
That means 6.5% of total emissions comes from Australian cows and that can be reduced at most to 6.5% x 70% = 4.55% of Australia’s total greenhouse gas emissions.
So if they were successful in Australia with 100% coverage (which is unrealistic) it would mean a 6.5% – 4.55% = approx. 2% reduction in the alleged methane (CH4) greenhouse gas emissions.
In the natural environment where methane (CH4) is converted to carbon dioxide (CO2) the oxidation of methane by hydroxyl radicals (OH) plays a significant role. The reaction is equivalent to burning methane slowly in the atmosphere.
Methane’s oxidation helps to regulate its concentration in the atmosphere with an atmospheric lifetime of methane of approximately 10 years, during which time it can be oxidized by hydroxyl radicals, leading to the formation of less reactive compounds.
The main sink of methane is tropospheric OH (hydroxyl) radicals, formed from water vapour and ozone. This mechanism accounts for about 90% of atmospheric methane reduction.
Ironically to increase OH radical concentration in the atmosphere, in order to reduce CH4, an increase in water vapour (H2O) is needed. But water vapour is the most powerful greenhouse gas of all, which the IPCC has totally ignored. So the suggestion has been made to increase H2O to decrease the methane concentration. Make sense? Trading one greenhouse gas for another more powerful one? Nope!
And I dispute the whole relationship between these gases (CO2, CH4, and H2O) and increased global temperatures but the Rumin8 company’s goal is to reduce Australia’s anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions by 40%. The calculated 2% from cows is a far cry from their 40% target. Even with a disputed multiplying factor from CH4 to CO2 conversion their goal is still in fantasy land. Each molecule only has one Carbon atom.
This leads me to the only method possible — kill all the cows! That means no more naturally grown meat and dairy. Instead we are forced onto a diet of synthetic ‘meat’ and ‘dairy’. But the elites will continue to eat real meat and dairy; only the slaves are fed the garbage.
Who are the major investors in Rumin8?
Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Prelude Ventures seem to be high on the list. Who is on the front webpage of Breakthrough Energy Ventures? None other than Bill Gates.
Both of these companies are heavily invested in the fake economy of the invented-out-of-thin-air greenhouse gas scam. They feed off the fear of the global temperatures rising a little from the tiny emissions of carbon dioxide and methane gas from human and ruminant activity.
It is the ultimate extortion scheme. Pay us all the money we ask for and we’ll protect you from immanent danger, which we will bring anyway with all the crazy plans we have to ‘protect’ you.
And Rumin8 is not a company doing it naturally the way God and nature intended, no ….
Rumin8 is using a pharmaceutical approach to reproduce and stabilise nature’s solutions to make affordable feed supplements that reduce methane emissions from livestock.
All pharmaceuticals are poisons and this one is no different.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald piece “Panic over additive in cattle feed sparks milk and meat furore”, is unfounded, a conspiracy theory, and no threat to human health.

SYDNEY MORNING HERALD PUBLISHES BOVAER MISINFORMATION
Yesterday the SMH published a pro-BOVAER story which asserted as a “Key Point” about Bovaer;
“Claims the substance poses a threat to human health are unfounded”
They may as well claimed it was “safe & effective” However this assertion by the SMH is in direct conflict with the listing for 3-Nitrooxypropanol (marketed under the name BOVAER)* from the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) , which using the safety & hazard warnings of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals, list it as a “Health Hazard”.

I trust the SMH will do a retraction. * NB: The US FDA state that 3-nitrooxypropanol (3-NOP) is marketed as Bovaer®
The furore is not limited to Australia. Arla Foods in the UK even has relabeled their Lurpak butter to Christmas butter to try to avoid the backlash.
Dairy giant Arla Foods is facing growing calls for a boycott of its products, including Lurpak butter, amid controversy over trials of a methane-reducing feed additive for cows.
The Danish-Swedish company, which owns Britain’s largest dairy cooperative, has sparked outrage on social media after announcing plans to use Bovaer in cattle feed across 30 UK farms.
All of this happens because, the billionaires who have been preparing for decades, are changing the global agricultural economy into one of bioengineered non-food processed chemical stuffed products.
If they are successful the result will be mass global depopulation, through sterilization of males and females, from toxic chemical agents, like 3-NOP. In addition the increase in cancer and cognitive dysfunction will be off the scales.
If you wanted to reduce the global population you would do something like this to complement the toxic bioweapons called COVID-19 vaccines that were introduced to combat a fake pandemic.
To my knowledge, all three major Australian supermarket chains, Coles, Woolworths and Aldi only sell toxic beef and dairy products. Aldi have partnered with Arla Foods and others pushing this garbage into Europe. Any time they use the expression “sustainable” know that it is the UN/WEF program to depopulate the planet of humans.
Resist these changes at all cost! Eat only meat and dairy that you know has not been contaminated with cow-fart reducing toxic chemicals and called sustainable. Know your grower. Reject sustainability!
