Statement of Faith
We believe that God is the sole creator of the heavens, earth and all living things that dwell within them. We believe that he is omniscient, omnipotent, and completely sovereign. We believe that all things exist because of him, through him and are held together in him.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God representing the undefiled divine nature and power of God who came to earth in the flesh as a human being (Son of Man) through the virgin birth. We believe that he represents the exact image and likeness of God who all things were created from and for. Jesus Christ is the firstborn of all creation and is the head of his body, the church.
Though the Body of Christ is currently divided into many factions, we believe that there is one Lord, one Faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, through all, and in all.
We believe that Jesus Christ completely conquered the power of sin by remaining wholly devoted to the purpose and will of God, resisting the temptations of his own flesh as well as those from Satan, the tempter. We fully believe that Jesus Christ conquered the power of death through his bodily resurrection and is now seated at the right hand of God where all authority has been placed in his hands.
We believe that all men have sinned and have fallen short of God’s glory and purpose in creation. Because of this, man needs a savior. Jesus is the fulfillment of God’s salvation plan for mankind having taken the penalty and curse of sin through his death on the cross. He was the lamb that was slain so that all who come to him may obtain forgiveness of sins and the power to live holy lives unto God. His death and shed bled on the cross satisfied God’s need to punish sin and rebellion. All man needs to do is accept this free gift from God and be reconciled back to the Father who created us all. He gives us the power to live righteously after we have repented from our sins and committed our lives to Him as his disciples.
We believe that the truths contained in the Bible combined with the working power of God’s spirit have the power to set men free from the bondage of sin, shame, guilt and condemnation. Furthermore, we assert that the Bible is God’s word and message to mankind. Though there may be many translations, it is the spirit of the message that is important. This is why it cannot be understood properly unless one is filled with the Spirit of God who was sent to teach us the truths of God.
We believe that we are called to live according to the pattern set by Jesus Christ when he physically walked the earth and by the principles established in the Bible. In summation we believe in loving the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength. If we adhere to this commandment and seek to cultivate an intimate relationship with our loving Creator, we will fulfill God’s will in our lives and please Him greatly. Likewise, if we grow in loving our neighbor as ourselves we would fulfill God’s will in how to love and treat our fellow man.
We believe that everyone who is a part of Christ’s body has gifts and talents given to them by God to hone and use for the benefit of glorify God and helping God’s people. There is to be no special class of haves and have not’s in Christ’s church. All are priests and ministers unto the Lord and all have been given something to accomplish during their lifetime upon this earth.
