Donald Trump has named Republican congressman Mike Waltz as his next national security advisor, a position that was held by ultrahawk John Bolton in the last Trump administration.

Like Bolton, Waltz is a warmongering freak. Journalist Michael Tracey has been filling up his Twitter page since the announcement with examples of Waltz’s insane hawkishness, including his support for letting Ukraine use US weapons to strike deep into Russian territory, criticizing Biden for not escalating aggressively enough in Ukraine, advocating bombing Iran, opposing the US military withdrawal from Afghanistan, and naming Iran, North Korea, China, Russia and Venezuela as “on the march” against the United States toward global conflict… Read full article >

Moderna stock tumbled 7% following the announcement of RFK Jr. as his most senior health chief, as Pfizer’s fell 3% and Novavax saw its shares drop 5%.

Quebec adopted the law last year for people with a serious and incurable illness, such as Alzheimer’s disease, to make early requests for MAiD.  The law means that people can arrange in advance to receive doctor-assisted suicide when their condition worsens, be it months or years in the future. Judges involved in three different anti-trust lawsuits faced by Google in the US have slammed the tech giant, accusing it of going to great lengths to manipulate and suppress evidence (internal communications) during the legal proceedings.

The cases are ongoing in San Francisco, the District of Columbia, and Virginia federal courts, where Google is fighting regulators’ allegations of engaging in monopolistic practices (concerning ads, search, and the app store), that, if proven, could result in the company being broken up.
