Apple has obtained a patent for a new innovative security camera technology that can identify people based on facial recognition and physical characteristics. The patent, published by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), describes a system that uses traditional facial recognition along with a new “bodyprint” feature to accurately identify people based on their faces and physical characteristics.

As per the reports citing the patent documents, Apple has described it as a security camera that not only uses facial recognition but also saves information including a person’s physical traits such as torso or the clothing they wear.
