Hezbollah’s new leader Naim Qassem said during his second speech as secretary-general that the resistance group is in a “defensive state” and will thwart Israeli plans for Lebanon, vowing that nowhere in Israel is safe from missile and drone attacks.

Egyptian sources close to the negotiations, in which the Arab country is participating as a mediator, said that both Fatah and Hamas “showed more flexibility and positivity” for the establishment of the so-called “Community Support Committee,” the body that would govern the Strip, affiliated with the PA and administer the territory with the presence of independent figures in its ranks.
